Bags of essentials for women and children entering safe accommodation have been delivered to selected domestic-violence police offices in Athens, Thessaloniki, Rhodes and Corfu, Greece’s Ministry of Citizen Protection announced on 7 November.

YWCA support includes clothing, food and hygiene supplies, adapted to children’s needs too.

Through the responsible offices

The police office informs the local YWCA centre of needs without sharing personal details. Police deliver the supplies. The announcement identifies Omonia and Charilaou and does not describe a general collection service at every police station.
