Reading and technical operation
No account is required to read articles. Hosting and security infrastructure processes technical request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver pages and prevent abuse. This information is not the same as anonymous data.
Statistics by choice
Google Analytics loads after you select “Accept statistics”. It measures readership with Google Signals and advertising personalisation disabled. It may process identifiers and usage information; we do not describe this processing as fully anonymous. “Essential only” does not load it. You can change your choice through “Privacy settings”.
Saved articles and newsletter
Saving an article creates a random browser identifier in an essential cookie lasting up to one year. The service database links that identifier to article addresses and saving times. Remove articles through the saved list. Deleting the cookie does not automatically delete database entries and may prevent their recovery.
A newsletter request includes your email, consent choice, subscription status and times, and random confirmation/cancellation links. Mailjet handles confirmation and list management. The confirmation link expires after 48 hours; expiration does not automatically delete the request. Use the cancellation or unsubscribe link to stop mailings. The service also retains the unsubscribed status to prevent further mailings.
Contact, recipients and your rights
If you write to us, we process your message and reply address to handle the enquiry. Hosting/security providers, Google Analytics after consent, and Mailjet for the newsletter participate in their respective functions. Embedded third-party tools have a separate loading choice. External websites apply their own terms when you follow a link.
Consent covers optional features and can be withdrawn. Essential functions provide the service you request and operational security. To request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or objection where applicable, email the address above with a specific request. You may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive documents in an initial enquiry.
Subscription and correspondence records do not have one universal automatic deletion period. For erasure requests, identify the function and, for newsletter matters, your email address. Read the cookie and third-party tools notice.
