Bank of Greece opens online booking for cash services
Users can choose a branch, service and time, and reschedule or cancel online.
On 3 November 2026 the Bank of Greece announced an online appointment service for individuals, businesses and professionals who need to use its cash desks. Users choose a branch, service, date and time. The platform sends confirmation and allows bookings to be changed or cancelled without a phone call.
Which services are covered
Options include exchanging damaged euro banknotes, obtaining coins, exchanging coins for banknotes, buying or selling gold sovereigns and obtaining collectible coins. The Bank also lists purchases and sales of foreign banknotes at its branches, as well as cash-desk transactions involving the Greek state or public bodies.
The platform schedules the visit. The cash transaction itself takes place at the branch selected by the customer.
