Registration for Greece’s first University Marathon Championship must be completed by Friday 6 November 2026, according to the announcement published on 4 November by the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports. It is organised in cooperation with SEGAS.

The race is scheduled for Sunday 8 November at 08:30, within the 43rd Athens Authentic Marathon. There are 48 free places, with no entry fee for students or universities.

Allocation of places

Each university is initially entitled to one male and one female entrant with current student status. Additional entries may be accepted if places remain after this representation is covered, in order of priority and under the announcement’s conditions.

Individuals are responsible for registering through the official dedicated form. Entry is final only after the process is completed and the organisers confirm it. Applicants should consult the Physical Education Directorate or their university sports office for the official form and eligibility requirements.

Rules and information

The Marathon’s entry conditions and SEGAS instructions apply, including fitness and preparation requirements. Bib and race-material collection details will be sent to registered participants’ personal email addresses. Separate men’s and women’s university rankings will be compiled, with awards for each ranking’s first three finishers; the ceremony’s time and place have not yet been announced.
