Larissa disaster recovery teams completed inspections of storm damage in South Pelion Municipality within two days, according to a 3 November 2026 announcement by the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection. They recorded 27 buildings: 23 green, four yellow and none red.

One green building was recorded in Argalasti. The other 26 are in Promyri, including all four yellow buildings: two homes, one business premises and one other building.

What happens next

Municipal staff were briefed on collecting, checking and forwarding complete files to the authorities. The deputy minister’s statement that payment could be made within five days depends on submission of the full documentation. The announcement gives neither a common payment date nor a detailed list of documents for affected residents.

Funding for municipal infrastructure is considered separately. The Government Committee for State Aid is expected to examine the municipality’s requests after the damage assessment. No approved amount for the works has been announced.
