Imeros marina: €155,000 call exclusively for studies
The published act invites Maroneia–Sapes municipality to submit a proposal. Construction and future marina funding require separate decisions.

The Greek Tourism Ministry has signed a call making €155,000 in public expenditure available for preparatory studies for the planned Imeros marina in Rhodope. Act 20594 of 2 November 2026, published on Diavgeia, confirms the scope and conditions behind today’s ministry announcement.
Who may apply
Maroneia–Sapes municipality is invited to submit a proposal under the Tourism Sectoral Development Programme 2026–2030. The call also provides for an implementing body linked to the municipality by a programme agreement or relevant competent-body document. This is not a general grant for individuals or tourism businesses.
What is funded
The scope covers technical and environmental studies: a masterplan for port and land works, siting and planning, strategic and project-level environmental assessments, a special ecological assessment and a climate-proofing study.
The act expressly states that funding does not cover construction or commit to future implementation. That would depend on the studies’ findings, licensing procedures and a later separate investment and financing decision.
Submission and next stage
Section 4.2 lists electronic submission through the EPA information system from 29 October 2026 at 08:00 until 20 December 2030 at 14:00, with possible earlier closure if available expenditure is exhausted. This is the period stated in the call, not a marina opening date.
The file includes a project technical sheet, evidence of competence, a collective-body decision, cost analysis, a programme agreement where required and the prescribed state-aid checks. Evaluation and a separate inclusion decision follow; signing the call does not confirm that disbursement has already taken place.
