Lens–Como 1–9: Douvikas hat-trick as winning-margin record is equalled
The Greek striker was named Player of the Match on league-phase Matchday 4. UEFA records an equalling of the largest winning margin in Champions League history.

With a Tasos Douvikas hat-trick, Como beat Lens 9–1 away on the evening of 4 November 2026, on Matchday 4 of the Champions League league phase. Both UEFA’s official report and the French club’s results page record the score.
Three goals and an individual award
Douvikas scored twice before half-time and completed his hat-trick after the break. UEFA named him Player of the Match. Nico Paz, Lucas Da Cunha, Marc-Oliver Kempf, Mattia Liberali, Martin Baturina and Matteo Papaccioli also scored. Rubén Aguilar scored for Lens.
Which record was equalled
UEFA says Como equalled the competition’s largest winning margin: eight goals. The European governing body does not present the 1–9 score as a new outright winning-margin record.
Elsewhere on the same matchday, Konstantinos Karetsas scored Dortmund’s winner in their 2–1 victory over Betis and was also named Player of the Match, according to UEFA.
