On 5 November 2026, Greece’s Ministry of Health announced approval to advertise 155 permanent posts for specialist doctors in the national health service. The posts cover different grades and specialties at health centres and multipurpose regional clinics across all seven health regions.

When to apply

According to the ministry, online applications on esydoctors are scheduled from 12:00 on 16 November to 12:00 on 30 November 2026, Athens time. Candidates must attach the documents required by the call. Before applying, they should check the list of posts and the grade and specialty for their chosen facility.

The ministry says the approval decision was posted on Diavgeia. Its press release does not provide the full list of facilities and specialties or the document checklist. The dates are those announced by the ministry; applications have yet to open.

Most posts are being advertised again

Of the 155 posts, 143 went unfilled in earlier 2026 rounds. The remaining 12 are from the balance of posts authorised in the 2026 cabinet act. The approval concerns recruitment; it does not mean appointments have been made.

The re-advertised posts include 27 on remote and border islands. For those facilities the ministry reports an additional allowance of €1,500 a month for 12 months a year, funded by a donation from the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation. The incentive applies to those facilities, rather than all 155 posts.
