A call with a total budget of €615,000 for designing and implementing training for Education Advisers and teachers is announced by the Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports on 3 November 2026.

It falls under the ministry’s 2026–2030 Sectoral Development Programme, in the education-strengthening priority, financed by the National Development Programme. The announcement identifies the Institute of Educational Policy, other bodies and the ministry itself as potential funding beneficiaries, subject to the call’s terms.

Training content

The focus is language, mathematical and scientific literacy: reading comprehension, interpreting data, connecting information and solving problems. Planning includes differentiated teaching, assessment and feedback, learning communities and reusable digital materials for distance training.

The ministry connects the intervention with the new curricula and preparation for the multiple-textbook system in 2027–2028. Improved learning outcomes are a programme objective, rather than an already measured result.

The stage announced

A funding call for implementing bodies is distinct from individual teacher enrolment. The release gives no enrolment dates, trainee count or individual allowance. Participation arrangements require the specific implementation call.
