Evros and Imathia: applications open for alfalfa and processing tomato aid
Applications run through 27 November via AADE’s myBusinessSupport. The scheme has a budget of up to €1.97 million.

Alfalfa growers in Evros and processing tomato growers in eligible parts of Imathia can apply for support from 6 through 27 November 2026. The two groups have a combined budget of up to €1,971,234.05, according to a joint announcement from Greece’s agriculture ministry and revenue authority.
Who is eligible and how much is available
- Evros: €200 per stremma for eligible professional alfalfa growers affected by sheep and goat pox and peste des petits ruminants in 2024.
- Imathia: €563.50 per stremma for eligible professional processing tomato growers in the areas covered by the scheme. The joint announcement links the aid to storm Daniel in 2023 and the effects of animal disease in 2024.
Other eligible growers receive 50% of the relevant rate. A stremma is 1,000 square metres. Professional status is assessed using the Greek Register of Farmers and Agricultural Holdings. The scheme falls under de minimis state aid rules.
How to apply
Growers submit the application and a statutory declaration through AADE’s myBusinessSupport with their own TAXISnet credentials. Potential recipients are notified through their registered email address and the My Messages section of myAADE.
Payments follow checks on individual recipients and may arrive on different dates. The announcement sets 7 December as the target for completing the process. Aid can be offset against confirmed debts where the legal conditions are met.
