Time-of-use electricity: winter hours are 12:00–15:00 and 02:00–05:00 from 1 November

Winter hours apply until 31 March 2027. HEDNO’s official announcement concerns time bands rather than a uniform price per kilowatt-hour.

Winter hours for the reduced-rate time-of-use electricity system take effect on Sunday 1 November 2026, according to HEDNO’s original press release of 30 October. The period ends on 31 March 2027.

  • Midday band: 12:00–15:00.
  • Night band: 02:00–05:00.

The official service page specifies that the schedule applies Monday to Sunday. Summer bands were 11:00–15:00 and 02:00–04:00; in winter, the midday period starts an hour later and the night period ends an hour later.

The announcement sets operating hours and does not announce a uniform energy price. Before scheduling consumption, check that your connection uses the time-of-use system and consult your contract’s charges or your supplier. It does not follow that every household connection automatically has this tariff.

Updated 01.11.2026 · 07:45 · Athens time — What changed: eligibility-check guidance and a method for comparing charges have been added. The official hours and validity period are unchanged.

Before rescheduling appliances

DEDDIE’s official service page directs consumers to its dual-zone eligibility checker. If you have never had a reduced-rate tariff, the supply holder can apply through myDEDDIE Services. Running an appliance during the specified hours does not itself enable dual-zone billing.

How to compare the benefit

Find the difference per kilowatt-hour between the two zones in your contract. Multiply that difference by consumption actually shifted to the reduced-rate zone. If your plan charges the same rate in both zones, changing the time produces no difference in that component. The schedule alone cannot determine a total bill.

Keep any activation cost, standing charge and other charges separate. This avoids comparing an all-in price with an energy-only rate. Ask DEDDIE about supply eligibility and your electricity supplier about your plan’s prices.
