Applications for ten permanent maritime-specialty posts at Greece's Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy will be accepted from Tuesday 6 October through Tuesday 20 October 2026.

The call was not issued today: it is dated 10 August and was published in Government Gazette issue 42/14.08.2026, ASEP series. The new development on 5 October is the official announcement of the application window.

The deadline

The process opens on 6 October 2026 and closes on 20 October 2026. Applicants must follow the filing method and timing set out in the call.

How to apply

Applications may be submitted in person or through a legally authorised representative whose signature has been certified. In-person filing is available on working days from 10:00 to 14:00 at office 102 on the first floor of the ministry's main building at Akti Vasileiadi, Gates E1–E2, Piraeus–Drapetsona.

Alternatively, the application and required supporting documents may be sent by registered post with proof, under the provisions of Chapter C of the call.

What candidates should check

Before applying, candidates should verify the exact qualifications, supporting documents and special conditions in the full call. The official references are joint decision and call 2901.1/56549/2026/10.08.2026 and Government Gazette issue 42/14.08.2026 (ASEP series). The transparency-registry identifier is also listed in the Greek call.

The ten vacancies are permanent posts at the ministry and are separate from competitions for private candidates seeking admission to Hellenic Coast Guard academies.
