At the official UN briefing in Geneva on 23 October 2026, OCHA said Taiz, Yemen, had effectively been cut off for 20 days.

WHO reported severe shortages at 42 health facilities in the city, threatening surgery, dialysis and intensive care.

OCHA said water production had fallen by about half because of fuel shortages. It called for safe and unimpeded humanitarian access.
