Washing machines: read water use as well as the energy letter
The label combines consumption, duration and noise using the eco programme.

An A–G energy class starts a washing-machine comparison, but is not the whole picture. The EU label also provides practical operating information.
Useful numbers
It shows energy per 100 cycles, water per cycle, duration, capacity and noise. Figures use eco 40–60; other programmes and loads can differ.
The QR code opens the official EPREL database. The Commission recommends full loads where possible and correct detergent dosing. Compare similar capacities, without treating the label as an exact prediction of every future bill.
