Culture grants: 12 calls from 19 October — two deadlines to watch
The Culture Ministry announces applications until 30 November at 5 p.m. New organisations must complete registry enrolment by 13 November.

The Ministry of Culture plans to publish 12 calls for grants and/or patronage for cultural activities on Monday 19 October 2026. Its 16 October announcement gives an application period from 19 October to 30 November 2026 at 5 p.m. Greek time; it does not mean applications have already opened today.
Which organisations are covered
The calls are aimed at non-profit legal entities governed by private or public law, with cultural and/or public-benefit purposes in their statutes. Enrolment in the ministry’s Cultural Organisations Registry is required. Existing members must have an up-to-date, complete organisation profile.
New organisations must complete registration by 13 November 2026. The registration date is the date on which the registration declaration is emailed to dpde@culture.gr, not simply when the online profile is submitted. This is a separate milestone before the proposal deadline.
Nine contemporary-culture and three folk-culture categories
The planned categories cover accessibility for people with disabilities; activities for children and teenagers up to 18; visual arts, architecture, photography and design; museums and galleries; theatre; music; dance; digital culture; and multidisciplinary festivals.
The distinct Greek Folk Culture category covers intangible cultural heritage, museums and collections of modern cultural heritage, and traditional dance and music festivals.
Official proposal titles and descriptions must be in Greek. The ministry mentions a special uplift factor for proposals from regional Greece, including border, mountain and island areas. Its precise terms and application need to be checked in the individual calls.
What remains to be published
The announcement is not a grant-award decision. Organisations should read the full call for their category on the Cultural Organisations Portal once published. Separate calls for film and audiovisual activities are to be issued by EKKOMED, and for books, literature and reading by ELIVIP.
