Decision 167807 EX 2026, Government Gazette B 6417/23 October 2026, presented by the Ministry of National Economy and Finance on 27 October, provides a twelve-month suspension of enforcement for demonstrably affected victims.

It covers movable and immovable property, including auctions, seizures, evictions and personal detention, as well as procedural time limits for remedies in pending enforcement proceedings. Maintenance claims are excluded.

Starting dates specified in the decision

  • Designated affected areas of Laconia: 15 August 2026.
  • East Attica: 10 August 2026.
  • Ioannina: 31 August 2026.
  • Evia: 31 July 2026.

These dates appear in paragraph 1 of the Gazette decision. The summary release refers generally to designation-decision dates, but the published legal text expressly specifies the starting dates above. This is not a new twelve-month period beginning for everyone on 27 October.

Certification is required

Businesses need regional certification and inclusion in the state-aid framework. Individuals need certified damage to their home under housing assistance and household-effects compensation arrangements. Coverage concerns designated affected areas, not every resident of the four regional units. The decision takes effect upon publication and does not cancel the debts.
