Labour Minister Niki Kerameus says she has received information that payment of outstanding wages has begun at Pizza Fan, according to her SKAI interview published by the ministry on 31 October. This is the information reported by the minister; it does not establish that every worker or every outstanding amount has been paid.

Meeting scheduled for Tuesday

The statement says the ministry requested a meeting between employee and management representatives, scheduled for Tuesday 3 November. This is a planned meeting, not an agreement already reached.

The minister reiterates that employment contracts remain active and employers must pay wages and social insurance contributions. She reports 165 inspections and fines exceeding €730,000 over the past two years, and 550 employees at the parent company, with the remaining employees at franchise outlets. These figures are attributed to the ministry; they are not an independent audit here of each employment relationship.

The new information concerns Pizza Fan. It does not announce a new special compensation scheme, suspension of contracts or application deadline. The earlier update concerning Pizza Fan and Choriatiko remains below as history.

Previous updates — history

Employment contracts at Pizza Fan and Choriatiko remain active, according to the position Labour Minister Niki Kerameos set out in a Mega interview published by the ministry on 26 October 2026. She said no administrative or other order requiring the businesses to close had emerged.

Pay and contributions

The practical clarification for workers is that, according to the minister, employers remain responsible for wages and social-insurance contributions while contracts are active. This states the ministry’s official position; it does not certify that every wage has been paid or every individual employment contract examined.

Possible scenarios and the current announcement

For Pizza Fan, the minister outlined three possible scenarios: continued operation, acquisition or closure. Listing these possibilities does not announce that an acquisition has taken place or closure has been decided. She also linked a possible shutdown with unemployment-benefit protection, without the announcement itself setting out a new application procedure, special payment or decision to suspend contracts.

This report concerns employment implications and the ministry’s statements. It reaches no conclusion about defendants’ guilt in the separate criminal cases.
