PENEN calls 24-hour strike on 30 October at seven ports

The union specifies 00:01–24:00. Its strike call does not by itself confirm cancellation of every sailing.

The Panhellenic Union of Merchant Marine Sailors (PENEN) calls a 24-hour strike on Friday 30 October 2026, from 00:01 to 24:00, at the ports of Piraeus, Rafina, Elefsina, Patra, Lavrio, Rio–Antirrio and Igoumenitsa.

The official statement dated 25 October says the general assembly ratified the decision. It schedules a preliminary gathering at 09:15 at Agia Triada in Piraeus and a rally at 10:00 at the Municipal Theatre.

This is the individual union’s strike call, rather than a confirmed cancellation list for all ships. Passengers should check the status of their own sailing with their operator or ticket agency. Greek local time.
