Panarkadiko hospital: €9 million funding call for a new oncology building

The funding step covers a building and equipment, with 18 day-treatment places and 72 beds across three floors. It does not mark the opening of a new unit.

A €9 million funding call for a new building at Panarkadiko General Hospital in Tripoli has been issued, according to the Ministry of National Economy and Finance’s announcement on 14 October 2026.

It is intended for the oncology and nursing units currently housed in prefabricated facilities, according to the ministry. Necessary equipment is also included.

What the plan provides

The ground floor is planned to have 18 day-treatment places and one single-bed room. Three floors would have 24 beds each, totalling 72 beds, alongside a connection to the existing hospital.

A funding call, not a completed hospital building

Funding falls under the Special Just Transition Programme within the 2026–2030 National Development Programme. Proposals are submitted through the EPA Information System.

Today’s development is the issue of a call. The announcement does not certify a contract award, the start of construction or operation of new beds, and does not state a submission deadline. This is not a patient application process.
