Producers in the Municipality of Lasithi Plateau whose crops or infrastructure were damaged by excessive rainfall from 1 to 4 October and the flooding that followed may submit declarations to ELGA through Monday 19 October 2026.

Which losses are covered

According to the official notice, declarations may concern losses to crop production, plant capital, agricultural installations and agricultural equipment, under Law 3877/2010 and ELGA's regulations.

The declaration must be submitted to the ELGA correspondent in the relevant municipality. Producers should contact that office promptly to confirm the details and documents required for their individual case.

Livestock-loss declarations

Declarations for livestock losses have already been filed. The official announcement says ELGA veterinarians are reviewing them so that findings can be issued and compensation calculated.

Filing a declaration does not automatically result in payment. Inspection, assessment and an official finding follow under the applicable ELGA framework.
