Updated 27.10.2026 · 17:07, Athens time — 28 October changes
On 27 October, STASY published changes for Wednesday 28 October 2026, ordered by the Greek Police. Syntagma metro station closes at 08:00; trains will pass through without stopping.
- Tram Line 6, Pikrodafni–Syntagma, will temporarily terminate at FIX from 08:00.
- Tram Line 7, Asklipieio Voulas–Akti Poseidonos Piraeus, will temporarily terminate at SEF from 09:00.
Normal operation is expected after the commemorative events finish. No specific reopening time is announced. This is Wednesday’s schedule, not an already active Syntagma closure on Tuesday.
These changes are separate from Line 3 night works. For tonight, Tuesday 27 October, the published schedule remains 21:40 through the end of service for Ethniki Amyna, Cholargos, Nomismatokopeio, Agia Paraskevi and Chalandri, with the X25 bus linking Katechaki and Doukissis Plakentias.

Updated 27.10.2026 · 01:13, Athens time — What changed
The Alert for Monday evening, 26 October is being removed because that particular overnight operating window has passed. Removal does not mean the overall works programme has finished.
Under STASY’s published schedule, the next evening restriction is Tuesday 27 October from 21:40 until the end of service, covering Ethniki Amyna, Cholargos, Nomismatokopeio, Agia Paraskevi and Chalandri, with X25 linking Katechaki and Doukissis Plakentias. This is not presented as an active all-day closure or on-site confirmation of morning service.

Updated 26.10.2026 · 22:04, Athens time — What changed
The published Line 3 works schedule applies on Monday evening, 26 October, from 21:40 until the end of service. Ethniki Amyna, Cholargos, Nomismatokopeio, Agia Paraskevi and Chalandri are covered; bus X25 links Katechaki and Doukissis Plakentias.
Evening airport services
STASY’s official page lists departures from Doukissis Plakentias to the Airport at 22:24, 23:00 and 23:36. From the Airport to Doukissis Plakentias it lists 21:46, 22:22, 22:58 and 23:34. Once the intervening section closes, passengers need to transfer to X25; this is not a direct airport-to-centre connection.
OASA publishes an X25 operating period of 25 October–5 November, Sundays through Thursdays, from 21:40 until Metro service ends. That is the bus route’s operating period; it is not presented as a new extension of station closures beyond STASY’s announcement for 25–29 October. This is a scheduled restriction, rather than on-site confirmation that each service has operated.

Updated 25.10.2026 · 12:00, Athens time — What changed
A new night-work schedule applies from Sunday 25 to Thursday 29 October 2026. Ethniki Amyna, Cholargos, Nomismatokopio, Agia Paraskevi and Chalandri will close at 21:40.
During works, trains will operate on Dimotiko Theatro–Katechaki and Doukissis Plakentias–Airport. Temporary bus route X25 will link Katechaki and Doukissis Plakentias, serving the closed stations.
Airport journeys
The last direct trains leave Dimotiko Theatro at 21:06 and Airport at 21:10. Later airport services operate only to/from Doukissis Plakentias.
This is a new schedule covering a different section and using X25, rather than a continuation of the earlier X20 arrangement. Stations are not closed all day. This update supersedes the previous expiry notice for the night of 22 October.

Updated 23.10.2026 · 01:04, Athens time — What changed
STASY’s published schedule for six Line 3 stations ran through the night of 22–23 October, until end of service. The regular Thursday timetable provides for final arrivals by 00:45. The notice’s time window has now passed and its entry has been removed from active Alerts.
No extension was found in the original official notice. Expiry of the schedule is not on-site confirmation that works are complete or morning trains are already running.

Thursday 22 October — updated 07:20
22 October is the final date in the published night-work schedule. Panormou, Katehaki, Ethniki Amyna, Holargos, Nomismatokopeio and Agia Paraskevi close at 21:40 through end of service, with bus X20 linking Ambelokipi and Halandri.
During the morning check STASY displays normal operation. The night restriction does not mean a morning closure and is not extended here beyond the official announcement's dates.

Tonight's scheduled closure — updated 21.10.2026 · 20:11
STASY confirms that the night-time restriction applies tonight, Wednesday 21 October. Panormou, Katehaki, Ethniki Amyna, Holargos, Nomismatokopeio and Agia Paraskevi stations close at 21:40 and remain closed through the end of service.
The same scheduled restriction also applies on Thursday 22 October. Temporary bus X20 links Ambelokipi and Halandri, serving stops near the six closed stations. This is planned engineering work, not an emergency shutdown of the entire network.
Night-time service changes will apply on Athens Metro Line 3 from Sunday 11 to Thursday 15 October and again from Sunday 18 to Thursday 22 October 2026, while rails are replaced on the Ambelokipi–Halandri section.
On those dates, Panormou, Katehaki, Ethniki Amyna, Holargos, Nomismatokopeio and Agia Paraskevi stations will close at 21:40, about two and a half hours earlier than normal.
How trains will operate
After work begins, trains will run on the Dimotiko Theatro–Ambelokipi and Halandri–Doukissis Plakentias–Airport sections. No trains will pass through the closed Ambelokipi–Halandri section.
The last full airport service will leave Dimotiko Theatro at 21:06 and the airport at 21:10. After 21:40, airport-bound trains will start at Halandri and trains from the airport will terminate there.
Temporary bus X20
OASA will run the temporary X20 Ambelokipi Metro–Halandri Metro bus from Sunday to Thursday, between 21:40 and the end of Metro service. It will call at all six closed stations.
Passengers travelling to or from the airport after 21:40 should allow for the transfer at Halandri. The announced dates do not include the Fridays and Saturdays in those two weeks.
