Refresh your wardrobe without shopping: five outfits from what you own
A practical autumn idea: see what is already there before deciding what is genuinely missing.

Start small
You do not need to empty your entire wardrobe onto the bed. Choose one category, such as knitwear, and separate pieces you wear, items needing care and things you want to let go. Make a small repair list instead of buying replacements immediately.
Prepare five options
Combine comfortable trousers you already own with two tops, a knit and a coat. Try them with the shoes you actually use. Photograph five outfits on your phone: one for work, two for everyday trips and two for going out, adapted to your own life.
The shopping list comes last
- Write down only genuine gaps revealed by trying things on.
- Set a total budget before opening shops or apps.
- Read care labels before washing or storing seasonal clothes.
- Donate only clean, usable pieces after checking what the recipient organisation accepts.
There is no compulsory number of garments or a correct body for an organised wardrobe. The aim is easier dressing with clothes that serve you now.
