Updated 29.10.2026 · 17:15, Athens time — What changed

On 29 October 2026, the Education Ministry published the examination-centre list for the second KPG language-certification session. This is the new development following the October application period.

Candidates sit in the examination area selected in their application. Where more than one centre operates in an area, they must check both language and level; choosing the nearest school is not sufficient.

The official 12-page list gives centre codes, schools, addresses, languages and levels. For example, in Athens A, the 8th General Lyceum handles English and German at levels B and C, while the 26th Experimental General Lyceum “Marasleio” handles French and Turkish at those levels. The special Athens centre for candidates with disabilities and learning difficulties is at the 1st Vocational Lyceum of Athens.

The complete list is in the ministry’s State Certificate of Language Proficiency section. Regional education directorates and secondary education directorates also provide information. Publication of the centres does not open another application period. The previously announced examinations are on 21–22 November 2026.

Previous updates — history

Electronic applications for the second 2026 session of the State Certificate of Language Proficiency were scheduled from Monday 5 October until Tuesday 13 October 2026 at 23:59.

Examinations were announced for 21 and 22 November, covering English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Turkish at the combined B1+B2 and C1+C2 levels.

Fees and supporting documents

The fee was €80 for B1+B2 and €100 for C1+C2. The announcement noted that bank or postal payments could take two to three working days to become available for use.

Candidates needed identification, payment evidence and applicable supporting documents in PDF form. The electronic application had to be submitted finally; saving a draft was not sufficient.
