Updated 20.10.2026 · 00:09, Athens time — What changed:

A newer update on the Kyiv City State Administration's official channel on 19 October reports continuing repairs and a target to restore Lisova–Akademmistechko services that evening, bypassing Chernihivska until it is repaired. This is a plan, not confirmation of completion. This check has not verified an announcement that reopening actually took place. Additional bus connections remain the announced alternative; check official updates before travelling.

Earlier report — history

Updated 19.10.2026 · 12:04, Athens time — What changed:

In a new message, Volodymyr Zelenskyy says the overnight attack damaged more than ten energy facilities and left at least 550,000 families without electricity.

This is the Ukrainian president’s account for parts of the country, not just Kyiv. The original refers to families, not a count of individual people.

No newer official reopening announcement was found for Chernihivska and Lisova stations. The earlier diagnostic-centre damage update is retained below.

Updated 19.10.2026 · 10:22, Athens time — What changed:

KMDA reported damage to a consultative and diagnostic centre in Solomianskyi: over 200 windows were blown out, and doors, ceilings and equipment were damaged.

No staff were injured, and no patients were present during the attack. Employees were reassigned to other facilities.

No reopening announcement was found for the two metro stations.

Earlier update — 19.10.2026 · 09:12, Athens time

Updated 19.10.2026 · 09:12, Athens time — What changed:

Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported five injured people in Solomianskyi district following the 19 October 2026 attack, in an update relayed by the official Kyiv City State Administration channel. One injured person was taken to hospital; the others received assistance at the scene.

This is a district figure, not a confirmed citywide total. It is not added to the three injuries reported earlier at a particular apartment building in the same area.

Metro and trolleybus arrangements are separate

KMDA also announced that trolleybus routes 22-K, 27, 30 and 42 had returned to their normal routes, with departures from the timetable. This does not mean Chernihivska and Lisova metro stations have reopened: no subsequent restoration announcement was found. Metro arrangements and additional buses remain described in the earlier update.

Earlier update — 19.10.2026 · 06:06, Athens time

Chernihivska (Чернігівська) and Lisova (Лісова) stations on Kyiv’s red metro line are temporarily closed for entry and exit on 19 October 2026, according to the official Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA).

The authority links the change to damage from overnight attacks to an above-ground station, tracks and the cable network. It announced that morning trains would begin running to schedule between Akademmistechko and Darnytsia. This is not an announcement that the whole metro network is suspended.

Additional buses

The city administration announced extra vehicles on routes 1-M and 118:

  • Three buses on the Lisova–Darnytsia section of temporary route 1-M.
  • Twelve buses on the Lisova–Palats Sportu section of that route.
  • Two extra buses on route 118.

This is announced additional capacity; no service frequency or guaranteed waiting time is given. KMDA asks passengers to take the changes into account when planning journeys.

No time given for full restoration

Repair teams are working on the infrastructure, and restoration of the entire red line will be announced separately. No specific reopening time has been set for the two stations.

In successive updates on the attacks during the night of 18–19 October, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported the death of a 21-year-old woman. In a later announcement, he reported three injured people at a 25-storey apartment building in Solomianskyi district, who received medical assistance at the scene. That specific report is not presented as a citywide injury total.
