Parga: an island-like setting on the Epirus coast
A castle, old settlement and Ionian beaches in a mainland summer destination.

Town and castle
Parga combines old lanes with a Venetian castle and views towards the islet of Panagia. Give the first day to exploring instead of immediately planning a distant outing. Walking helps you decide where to spend evenings. Consider accommodation in relation to the routes you will actually walk.
Valtos and Lichnos
Valtos lies below the castle and has sand and fine pebbles. Lichnos provides another coastal option nearby. Give each its own time rather than requiring both in one day. For a family or group holiday, agree on the services needed before choosing a stop that suits everyone’s pace.
A mainland destination with a seaside character
Parga offers a small coastal-town setting without a crossing to an island. It can fit a wider Epirus itinerary. For a short stay, focus on town and nearby shores, leaving broader excursions for additional days so the core holiday is not lost between long journeys.
A three- or four-day suggestion
Our outline is town and castle on day one, Valtos on day two and Lichnos or a favourite repeat stop on day three. Keep a fourth day free. A holiday does not require constant changes of scenery: revisiting a neighbourhood or spending longer on the same coast can be part of the experience.
