iPhone Duo: apps from 23 October, other updates later
Apple has detailed its app timetable. A Greek price or local availability date has not been established.

Updated 23.10.2026 · 04:02, Athens time — What changed
In its 22 October announcement, Apple schedules App Store collections from 23 October, with a “Made for iPhone Duo” badge for adapted apps.
New layouts for Word and Outlook are expected in the coming weeks, while the Zenless Zone Zero update is due in November. They are not all presented as available at launch. This is the company’s announced timetable, not independent testing or confirmation of Greek availability.
Original presentation — specifications and qualifications
On 9 September 2026, Apple unveiled iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, alongside iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max. “Fold” describes the device category; its official name is Duo. This presentation is based on company announcements and is not a laboratory review.
iPhone Duo: compact when closed, more space when open
Duo has a 5.4-inch outer display and a 7.6-inch inner display. Split View shows two apps side by side. It uses A20 Pro and Touch ID in the side button. The practical difference is more room for documents, video calls and work without constantly switching apps.
Apple schedules pre-orders for 16 October and availability from 23 October in selected markets, with a second wave on 30 October. The US starting price is $1,999. This is not a Greek retail price.

iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max: a focus on photography
The Pro models also use A20 Pro, with new vapour-chamber cooling and a smaller Dynamic Island. The main 48MP camera gains a variable aperture, offering more control over light and depth of field. Apple reports improved battery life; actual results depend on usage and are not identical to its laboratory measurements.
Availability began on 18 September in the first markets. Announced US starting prices are $1,199 for Pro and $1,299 for Pro Max. The Pro range was unveiled separately from a standard iPhone 18, which is not included in these announcements.
What this means for Greek users
Apple's official language lists for Apple Intelligence and Siri AI do not include Greek. Buying the device therefore does not mean every new AI feature will work in Greek. Duo uses eSIM exclusively, so compatibility with the carrier needs checking.
For Greece, the two announcements did not establish a specific Duo availability date or a euro price. These details will be added when a clear local announcement is available. The specifications describe what the manufacturer promises; camera quality, battery life and hinge durability require independent testing.
