Greece–Bulgaria Interreg: contracts for 21 projects worth €33.4 million
The first call moves into implementation; this is not a new application opening.

Funding contracts for 21 projects with a combined €33.4 million budget have been signed under Greece–Bulgaria Interreg 2021–2027, Greece’s Ministry of National Economy and Finance announced on 19 October 2026.
They cover the environment, circular economy, education, social inclusion, culture and sustainable tourism, involving 87 organisations from the two countries.
Including three strategic projects, the total reaches 24 projects and €67.6 million.
The announcement concerns contracts following completion of the first call, not a new application process. Funding does not mean the projects have already been completed.
