Updated 30.10.2026 · 18:10, Athens time — What changed

At 17:14 on 30 October 2026, Hellenic Train issued a new notice covering two services on Saturday 31 October, in connection with today’s 24-hour strike. The trains are cancelled and replaced by buses.

  • 11530, Oinoi–Chalkida: departure at 04:30, with an intermediate stop at Avlida.
  • 1531, Chalkida–Athens: departure at 05:01, without intermediate stops at Agios Georgios, Dilesi, Dekeleia or SKA.

At Oinoi, bus boarding and alighting will temporarily take place at the roundabout 500 metres before the station, because of a space constraint, the company says.

The new notice explicitly identifies 31 October for these two services. It does not extend cancellations across Saturday’s entire network. Earlier notices for service 2539, IC 57 and Friday’s cancellations remain in the history. Passengers can contact the company or 14511 about their ticket.

Updated 30.10.2026 · 17:05, Athens time — What changed

A new Hellenic Train notice at 16:00 on 30 October 2026 adds a specific bus replacement: service 2539 from Chalkida to Oinoi, with a listed 00:00 departure from Chalkida, will not run as a train. The company says its buses will serve all intermediate stops.

The short notice does not specify a separate calendar date for the midnight leg. Passengers should confirm how it applies to their ticket and where to board through the company or 14511.

This specific notice supplements the 12:40 announcement cancelling today’s rail services because of the strike. The previously announced IC 57 bus replacement remains in the history. The new notice does not establish a general resumption of rail traffic.

Updated 30.10.2026 · 13:02, Athens time — What changed

At 12:40 on 30 October 2026, Hellenic Train announced that all today’s rail services are fully cancelled because of the Panhellenic Railway Federation strike. This is a newer, broader announcement than the earlier individual cancellation lists.

IC 57 is the exception and will operate using replacement buses. The company says a separate announcement will provide details. This notice specifies no bus departure time, boarding location or additional bus timetable.

Passengers should check the latest information for their ticket through ticket offices, the website, app or 14511. The decision concerns today’s action and is not extended here to later dates. Separate notices for Pelion services 3800 and 3801 through 2 November remain in the history.
