Florina: €2.48 million for a supported-living residence
The project-inclusion decision concerns a new 647 sq m accessible building with nine permanent, round-the-clock residential places for people with severe and multiple disabilities.

A supported-living residence in Florina has been included in the Special Just Transition Programme of Greece's 2021–2025 National Development Programme, with a budget of €2.48 million, the Ministry of National Economy and Finance announced on 12 October 2026.
The project-inclusion decision was issued by Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasis. It is an administrative funding step and does not mean that the residence has already been built or is operating.
Nine permanent, round-the-clock residential places
The planned facility is expected to provide nine places for permanent, round-the-clock residence for people with severe and multiple disabilities. The official announcement describes its purpose as providing supported housing and daily care in an accessible environment.
Project specifications
The plan concerns a two-storey building with a basement and a total area of about 647 square metres. It includes residential and daytime living areas, auxiliary and support facilities, a lift, landscaping and fencing.
The ministry says the building will be fully accessible. Accessibility is a technical requirement of the project that will have to be verified during construction and delivery.
What has not been announced
The official announcement does not provide a tender or construction timetable, an opening date, the identity of the operator or an application process for the nine places. Those details require subsequent administrative and construction stages and separate information for prospective residents.
