EODY: COVID-19 and flu hospital admissions increase
The report published on 22 October covers 12–18 October.
EODY recorded 114 new COVID-19 admissions, up from 95 the previous week, and 52 flu admissions, up from 27. The data cover 12–18 October 2026, not publication day.
Two new severe flu cases required intensive care, with no new flu death recorded. Community flu positivity fell below 10%.
These provisional figures may be revised following retrospective reporting.
