Architecture Biennale 2027: Greek pavilion curator proposals due 11 December
Greece’s Environment Ministry invites architects and teams to apply as curator. The 14:00 deadline requires a physical application file with digital documentation.

Greece’s Ministry of Environment and Energy published a call to select the curator of the Greek participation in the 20th Venice Architecture Biennale 2027 on 22 October 2026. Applications must be submitted by 11 December 2026 at 14:00.
Who may apply
The call accepts qualified architects, legal entities with a qualified architect responsible for the proposal, and associations of them, subject to the establishment requirements in the document. Each person may take part in only one application. Teams appoint a common representative.
Required application material
Applicants must provide the application form, personal details and short biographies, relevant experience, collaborators’ details and invoicing arrangements. Proposals require three rigid A3 boards, a bilingual Greek–English text of up to two A4 pages, and mandatory documentation as PDF files on a storage medium. Additional audiovisual material is optional.
The sealed file is submitted to the ministry’s Directorate of Urban Regeneration Studies and Projects at 17 Amaliados Street, Athens, first floor, room 116, on working days from 10:00 to 14:00. Postal or courier delivery is also accepted, with applicants responsible for timely receipt.
Budget and next steps
The €300,000 ceiling excluding VAT covers the whole project, including pavilion installation, operation and communications. It is not an announced personal fee. The final contract and detailed budget follow selection.
Organiser La Biennale confirms the exhibition runs from 8 May to 21 November 2027. Its theme is “Do Architecture—For the Possibility of Coexistence Facing a Real Reality”.
