Monday 5 October marks the new application period for the 2026 A21 child benefit. OPEKA’s announcement of 29 September scheduled the application service to accept new or amended applications from 08:00, with a deadline of Friday 13 November at 18:00. All times are Greek local time.

Who the 9 October payment concerns

The organisation announced a repeat clearance process and an extraordinary payment for Friday 9 October. This concerns applications that could not be cleared for September’s regular payment because of a technical problem with children’s graduation and new enrolment information in compulsory education.

This is not an additional benefit for everybody, nor a promise that every application submitted now will be paid on 9 October. Information and eligibility must first be checked.

Saving is not enough

The official application instructions require signing in with TaxisNet credentials and confirming AMKA. Check family and school information, contact details and an IBAN where the applicant is an account holder or joint holder. Attach supporting documents where requested.

Final submission is necessary: an application that has only been saved is not considered submitted and will not be cleared.

When the public application page was checked, it displayed the scheduled reopening on 5 October at 08:00. No test using personal credentials was performed, so the timetable is not presented as confirmation of successful submission.
